Buying Pos Printers

If you are buying a new or replacement printer for your epos system you will need to know the type of printer interface that your system uses.

For instance, if a Serial printer is required you may have the choice of 9 or 25 pin printer interface with your touchscreen or PC. The baud rate of the printer may need to be adjusted by you to match the baud rate your system uses for printing

For Ethernet or network printers you will need to set the network IP address of the printer to enable it to be accessed by your system. You may need to use a software utility to do this.

For USB printers you will likely have to install printer driver software on your system if not replacing with the same model.

To take the pain out of setting up a printer order from a supplier who can deliver and ensure everything works properly!
